Hi! I am Tiffy and I am a HUGE foodie. I love to cook, I love to eat, and I love sharing what I love with the world.
I was born in Taiwan, a country with some of thebest street food in the world. When I think back to my childhood, I remember all the fantastic restaurants my dad brought me to when I was young. You see, my family members are also huge foodies – we used to wander around night markets every weekend and skip the last period of school to try out new restaurants. Every summer, we would travel around Taiwan exploring all the new “must try” dishes around the country.
I moved toVancouver, Canadawhen I was in high school, and luckily Vancouver is blessed with unique cuisines where exceptional restaurants once again surrounded me. I never needed to cook my whole life because of how easy I could access good food until I moved away to university. I went to university in a small town where there wasno Asian food and after the first six months there, I started to get homesick.
At first, instant noodles were able to do the trick… but after a while, I realized that I need to bring a piece of home to my new home to get through the next few years. We lived in student housing with a really basic kitchen, and I was also on a student budget, so I had to get creative in the kitchen. I first started with small and easy dishes like fried rice and pan-fried chicken. But later, I started exploring more, even making Pho and Beef Noodle Soup for all my housemates!
Cooking started to become my stress reliever. After a long day, all I wanted to do was go grocery shopping and cook in the kitchen for hours. One year during the reading break, I made so much food I had to invite friends over to help me eat it all. Once I graduated from university, I moved back to Vancouver and went back to school to pursue another specialized degree. And the same thing happened… after a full day of school, nothing made me happier than cooking. Except this time, I was able to access even more ingredients from all over the world so I started branching out my repertoire by trying out even more diverse recipes!
After graduating, my fiance and I decided to take a4-month break and traveled around South East Asia. Once I got there, I instantly fell in love with the street food culture, and we were eating 8-9 meals a day because I knew once I was back home, I needed to recreate all these recipes.
我现在全职在一家科技公司工作as a District Manager, and during my free time, you will find me either in the kitchen cooking a storm away or hanging out with my cats. I never thought I would be given the opportunity to share what I love with the world… and for that,I am forever grateful!
I share my daily recipes here and on Instagram, and I film 60-second video tutorials on my TikTok.
Thank you so much for supporting me and loving all my recipes.
